The other two missing Sydney links no one’s looking at!

Whilst its fantastic to see that the NRMA &, believe it or not, our two main political parties at state level are looking at what’s now “pretty well known” & “reported to the max” road projects (i.e; the M5 amplification, the M2 amplification, the M2 – F3 missing link & the M4 East extension) there are two other “hugely important” road projects that also need to be seriously addressed & reported about, pronto; the “still unfinished” Prospect Hwy through Seven Hills & the “still unfinished” Eastwood County Rd through Marsfield!

The Prospect Hwy project through Seven Hills is “still unfinished” after 35 years. Blacktown Council, along with millions of Western Sydney motorists, have been left in complete limbo after desperately seeking solid action regarding it from Liberal & Labor state governments all these years, alas, with no success. Its an “extremely critical” road corridor thats to serve the Prospect – Kings Langley corridor. Yet, it defies completion because of political complacency.

The other, rather farcical, road project saga is the Eastwood County Rd. Abandoned for a shocking “58 years” eversince the Cumberland County Plan of 1951, this other “extremely critical” road project enjoyed some publicity by a very enthusiastic Ryde Council & RTA in 1984 & 1985. However, since then because of more political complacency, progress involving it has fallen by the wayside. All in all, not a good state of affairs we have for Greater Sydney roads!
