We need at least 3 more infill freeways for Greater Sydney
The NRMA should become the champion for roads even more, even harder. Especially within Greater Sydney. The fact is the NRMA could’ve lobbied more & harder all these years on a whole host of road projects, especially for Greater Sydney. We need at least another 3 or 4 freeways within Greater Sydney. Our road system is too fragmented, it doesnt seemlessly intertwine within itself. We still dont have the F6 freeway completed up from Wollongong, we still dont have the Eastwood County Rd, we still dont have the Prospect Hwy completed, we still dont have a new Spit Bridge & we still dont have the M4 East extension. All this means we in Greater Sydney have a fragmented road system. Yes, the state & federal governments have been asleep at the wheel & shown practically no political will at all, but there has been much more the NRMA couldve done also, like more taskforces, more encoragement to all its members of contacting their MPs or even lobbying themselves, more action in general. Greater Sydney needs & deserves a high quality, modern & expansive freeway system! We need at least another 3 or 4 more freeways, not less, to complement our economy & improve our driving lifestyles. Put simply, we need many more roads & better roads of better quality in Sydney. Sydney by now shouldve been one big construction site, building %25 billion worth of freeway projects.
