WESTERN SYDNEY DESPERATELY NEEDS THE PROSPECT HWY FINISHED!
As someone of a quite egalitarian nature, I am a great supporter & champion of the common good. Something very everyone. Which is why I have some contempt for NIMBY’s! Sometimes NIMBY’s have a few valid points, but most of the time they do not. Let’s face it; in Australia we have a huge sector of uneducated people & people who dont even want to acquire an education, because for some strange reason being educated & articulate aren’t worthy goals that are aspired to. It stems from everything like social topics to infrastructure/economic topics. Such as the 35 year old saga that is the very critical Prospect Hwy, unfinished for more than 3 decades! This is supposed to be a link in Western Sydney between the M2 & M4 freeways, fulfilling the Prospect – Baulkham Hills corridor, but alas, its still not finished because of NIMBY’s like the Seven Hills/Blacktown Residents Group. The principle here is that such groups have no right to stop progress for the greater/common good. That’s just not on! We all desperately need the Prospect Hwy saga to come to an end & it needs to be finished in light of the upcoming urban development all around Prospect Resevoir! Blacktown Council has also been pushing every NSW state government for solid action/progress for decades, with no luck. No NIMBY has the right to stop infrastructure projects that mean a better lifestyle for the greater good of Greater Sydney. We all have to make sacrifices.
